Tanzania Aims To Be Global Leader in Traditional Medicine

The head of Tanzania’s National Institute for Medical Research, Said Aboud, has said his country is striving to become a key player in the global traditional medicine and pharmaceutical industries by leveraging its biodiversity and strategic partnerships to advance scientific research.
Aboud was speaking at a meeting in South Korea, a country known for its integration of traditional medicine into modern healthcare.
As global demand for natural and plant-based remedies grows, Tanzania’s efforts to combine indigenous knowledge with modern science could open doors to new economic and health opportunities.
