Chief pathologist Bernard Midia has confirmed that Albert Ojwang’s injuries were caused by external forces, dismissing the possibility of suicide.

“The injury pattern, particularly the head trauma, suggests impact with a blunt object like a wall, which would leave a distinct pattern,” Midia explained, noting that the wounds also indicated signs of a struggle.

Ojwang was arrested on June 7 and charged with “cyber harassment” following critical social media posts targeting Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat.

The incident has intensified concerns among both local and international observers over the government’s approach to dissent.
