Key developments include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Renewed Hope City, Karsana, FCT \u2013 3,112 housing units<\/li>\n<li>Kano City Project \u2013 1,500 housing units<\/li>\n<li>250-unit estates in Katsina, Gombe, Yobe, Sokoto, Benue, and Nasarawa States<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the Renewed Hope Social Housing Programme is targeting 100 affordable homes in each of Nigeria\u2019s 774 local government areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economic and Job Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The housing programme has created over 152,000 direct and indirect jobs across the North. Local artisans and youth are benefiting significantly, with many earning up to \u20a6150,000 monthly. The pilot phase in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State\u2014site of the December 2023 accidental military airstrike\u2014will deliver 252 homes across seven northern states, including Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi, Niger, Benue, and Sokoto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is housing as healing, helping families affected by conflict reclaim stability and hope,\u201d Dangiwa emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Urban Renewal and Social Infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ministry has completed over 150 slum upgrade projects and is currently working on more than 100 others in key communities such as Tudun Wada (Sokoto), Yankaba (Kano), and Tunga (Niger State).<\/p>\n<p>Under its Special Projects Unit, the government has delivered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>71 classrooms<\/li>\n<li>15 primary health centres<\/li>\n<li>58 boreholes<\/li>\n<li>63 rural access roads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These projects, valued at over \u20a661 billion, have generated more than 10,700 jobs nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Future Plans<\/p>\n<p>Dangiwa announced upcoming expansions of the programme to more northern states, the full rollout of the 774-LGA social housing scheme, broader access to single-digit mortgages and rent-to-own financing, and the establishment of additional building material hubs to enhance affordability and self-reliance.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is more than infrastructure. It\u2019s a renewal of trust in government and a practical demonstration that President Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering real change,\u201d<\/em> Dangiwa
