Two new reports, from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch,\u00a0has shed new light\u00a0on the violence in the eastern part of the country, with both the Rwandan-backed M23 rebels and the Wazalendo – a loose coalition of armed groups backed by the Congolese army – being accused of widespread human rights abuses, including gang rape.<\/p>\n
