On September 1, 2025, Dr. Sidy Ould Tah, 9th President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, officially took office in Abidjan, the economic capital of C\u00f4te d’Ivoire. The handover ceremony brought together several personalities, including the Presidents of the Republic of C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, H.E. Mr. Alassane Ouattara, of Mauritania, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani as well as the outgoing President of the AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina, and his predecessor Donald Kaberuka, alongside many African dignitaries.<\/p>\n
