The failure, which\u00a0occurred\u00a0between 11am and 12pm, saw national generation fall sharply from 2,917.83MW to just 1.5MW, according to the Independent System Operator. The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the outage, citing a loss of supply from the national grid at 11:23am, and assured customers that efforts were under way to restore power once the grid stabilised.<\/p>\n
