A local rights group\u00a0has said\u00a0there were more than 3000 victims of abuses across Zimbabwe in August, bringing the country’s human rights record under renewed scrutity. In its latest report, the\u00a0Zimbabwe Peace Project said\u00a0at least 121 incidents were documented, with women and people with disabilities disproportionately affected.<\/p>\n
The victims endured threats of violence, harassment, forced displacement and unfair denial of services.\u00a0The report highlighted politically motivated violence, singling out the ruling\u00a0\u00a0ZANU-PF as the chief perpetrator responsible for nearly “half of all violations”.<\/p>\n
