President Emmerson Mnangagwa\u00a0has carried\u00a0out\u00a0sweeping changes in the top leadership of the ruling Zanu-PF, raising new concerns about a succession battle. A spokesperson for the party,\u00a0Christopher Mutsvangwa, said the president had exercised his authority in line with Zanu-PF’s constitution to reorganise the Politburo.<\/p>\n
Mutsvangwa said the reshuffle, which led to the “elevation of trusted lieutenants” and the redeployment of long-serving officials, was necessary to stabilise the party’s internal structure.<\/p>\n
