Eleven West African nationals who were deported to Ghana by U.S. authorities have been\u00a0sent\u00a0to their home countries. The group was among other deportees who\u00a0arrived in Ghana\u00a0earlier this month\u00a0as part of a deal reached with the U.S. government<\/p>\n
The eleven deportees had previously\u00a0filed a lawsuit\u00a0to stay their deportation to their home countries, citing the possibility that they could\u00a0face torture, persecution, or inhumane treatment.
