Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has demanded the suspension of top police officials following the death of social media influencer Albert Ojwang while in police custody.<\/p>\n
Ojwang had been arrested on Friday and charged with “cyber harassment” after posting critical comments about Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat.<\/p>\n
Gachagua criticized the move to suspend lower-ranking officers at Central Police Station, calling it an attempt to mislead the public. He argued that a serious investigation should begin with the deputy inspector general.<\/p>\n
